  • Pricing varies based on the fabrics and construction you choose, but here's a general starting point:

    • Suits: $1,195 – $9,995

    • Jackets: $995 – $8,995

    • Trousers: $395 – $2,995

    • Dress Shirts: $195 – $595

  • We curate a carefully selected range of premium fabrics spanning multiple price points — but all of exceptional quality. You'll find a wide assortment of Italian, English, and Japanese cloths, and we're one of only a select number of clothiers in the Chicago area to offer suiting made in Japan. Whether you're drawn to a classic wool, a lightweight linen blend, or a luxurious cashmere, we have something to satisfy even the most discerning tastes.

  • There's no shortage of options when it comes to custom clothing in Chicago — we know that. What sets J&L apart comes down to three things: experience, relationships, and service. Jeff Schuster brings 15+ years of hands-on expertise as a clothier, stylist trainer, and manufacturing insider. We partner with unique production facilities that deliver the right balance of quality and value. And we simply refuse to let you walk out of a fitting until everything is exactly right. That commitment to service isn't a marketing line — it's how we operate on every single order.

  • Quality takes time. Our standard turnaround is 6–8 weeks from the time your order is placed. In some cases — particularly for clients with more complex fit needs — we may create a fit sample first to fine-tune your measurements before producing the final garment. If we go that route, plan for an additional 4–6 weeks. We'll always be upfront about timing during your consultation so there are no surprises. For weddings and special events, we recommend starting at least 4–6 months in advance.

  • Wedding planning is a lot. Let us take the clothing piece completely off your plate. J&L has dressed grooms and their wedding parties throughout the Chicago area for years, and we know how to make the process smooth and stress-free — even on a tight timeline. Reach out for a free consultation and we'll help you figure out exactly what you need, when you need it by, and what it'll cost. We'll give you honest guidance even if another direction ends up being a better fit for your situation.

  • Absolutely. We can outfit the groom, groomsmen, fathers of the bride and groom, and any other members of your wedding party. Every person is measured individually so everyone gets a true custom fit — not just a size estimate. Ask about our group packages when you reach out.
